Provides advice and strategic counsel to the Provost and senior administrators on human resource issues affecting academic staff. Together with the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (Human Resources), Michelle is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that support and sustain collaborative relations with the Association of Academic Staff,
University of Alberta (AASUA).
Provides advice and support on issues relating to the conduct and discipline of academic staff. Michelle is the case manager on complaints filed against
academic staff members, working with complainants, respondents and their advisors to resolve disputes through formal (e.g. Article 16) and informal
(alternative dispute resolution) approaches. Michelle provides support to AASUA Compensation Negotiations and Agreement Review Committees.
Faculty Relations Officer
The primary contact on matters relating to the appointment, retention, and compensation of academic staff. Susan provides advice and support on terms of appointment, secondments, special conditions, accommodations, salary
scales and increments, leaves, resignations and retirements. Susan provides support to GSA compensation negotiations and Agreement Review Committees.
Deans Selection and Review Coordinator
Provides administrative support for Dean Searches and Reviews and also provides administrative and logistical support to other members of the Faculty Relations Team and the Office of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic).
Faculty Relations Assistant
Provides administrative and logistical support to other members of the Faculty Relations Team and the Office of the Provost. This position provides direct support to administrators and academic staff on the Housing Support Program.
Faculty Relations Assistant
Provide administrative and logistical support to other members of the Faculty Relations Team and the Office of the Provost. Pam provides direct support to
administrators and academic staff on the Presidents Review Committee and the General Appeals Committee.
Provides advice on issues relating to the evaluation of academic performance by Faculty Evaluation Committees (FEC’s), and provides management support to the President’s Review Committee (PRC). She serves as the Faculty Relations’ lead on the development and review of UAPPOL policies and
procedures affecting academic staff and provides advice relating to Conflicts of Interest and Commitment, and Supplemental Professional Activities (SPA’s). Donna also provides support to Agreement Review Committees.
Senior Administrator, Human Resource Services and

Joyce manages the dean selection and review processes on behalf of the Provost. She acts as the liaison with external search firms and oversees the activities of the selection and/or review committees to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
Provides advice on issues relating to the evaluation of academic performance by Faculty Evaluation Committees (FEC’s), and provides management support on appeals to the General Appeals Committee (GAC). David manages
the review and adjudication of complaints under the Research and Scholarship Integrity Policy and provides advice on Academic Freedom issues.
Senior Faculty and Staff Relations Officer
Brian manages the resolution of complaints filed against academic staff members. He is also responsible for leadership to collective bargaining with the non-academic staff association, and supports negotiations on the academic staff and graduate student agreements.

Jeremy manages the resolution of complaints filed against academic staff members. He also provides advice to University administrators on the interpretation and implementation of collective agreements for academic staff and graduate students.
